A new year has begun and this year promises to be just as good as last year. To start off, I want to recap the memorable things that happened in 2010!
1. My best friends, Adel and Don, got married in May.
2. My family (Mom, Dad, Jessica, Chris, Brittany, Tom, Grandma, and Char) and I went to France and Italy (which I will talk about in a later post).
3. I started school at St. Cloud State University and made the Dean’s list with a 4.0 (I’ve never had one of those before, so I am/was very excited and pleased because I got it in college).
4. I’ve decided to become a science teacher (getting a BS degree in Environmental Science and Science Education) and I want to go to graduate school for a masters and Ph.D.
5. I started four WIP that I am really excited about finishing.
6. I also started creating more craft projects.
Now to start on 2011! I was thinking, I don’t really like using the word resolution for the new year. I will be using the word goal instead because goal gives a person more wiggle room to modify said goals.
Here goes the 2011 goals:
1. Finish two WIP projects and fine tune and send out one of said projects.
2. Do the best that I can for spring semester in hopes of getting a 3.5 GPA.
3. Finish sending in all that needs to be sent to the other schools to which I am applying.
4. Crochet more! Learn to knit. Bead more. Finish my current crafty projects,
5. Travel more.
6. Read more.
7. Write a blog post/journal entry a week.
8. Eat healthier by cooking for the family more.
9. Being more active.
10. Writing something every day.
11. Take time to smell the roses.
12. Take more pictures.
13. Learn a new skill.
14. Do my best at my new school during fall semester and to stay at said school for the rest of my bachelors degree.
15. Get out more.
16. Love more.
17. Be happy.
I’m sure there is more and this list will keep going, but that is all I can think of now. As I write this, I’ve noticed that the word more comes up a lot. That is because I haven’t really done anything. Maybe I watch T.V., but that is pretty much it. This year there will be more of everything other than T.V.
Oh, I thought of two more goals!
18. Not cutting my hair until I graduate from college.
19. Remember to celebrate and get together with the family more.
I have my drivers test coming up on my 22 birthday. Yes, that may sound strange, but I was never really interested in driving. It is a big responsibility, one that I don't take lightly. Many things can go wrong while driving, so it has taken me a while to find the courage and desire to take this test.
So this week is going to be spent doing my 90 degree backup and parallel parking. The only thing I am looking forward to is that my test is actually being taken on the streets of a small town.
Blech. I feel like I could throw up. Not to mention I barely slept a wink last night.
